WHERE DO YOU MANUFACTURE YOUR PRODUCTS?
Most of our products are made in Europe. Our warehouse is also located in the United Kingdom which makes the logistics easier and reduces our carbon footprint as a company. As we source our fabrics, natural dyes and technologies globally due to the scarcity, nature and origin of some of these innovations, it was crucial for us to produce everything in one place. We choose ateliers and factories for the quality of their structures, labor law compliance, and range of factories with the latest eco certifications. It was also important for us to partner with factories and people who share our ideas and are ready to incorporate the latest and best eco innovations, technologies and sustainable processes. They are ready to experiment with us, so this partnership is key for us.

ARE YOUR PRODUCTION PARTNERS CERTIFIED?
Yes, mainly: Fair Trade, Global Organic Textile Standard, BCI and Global Recycled Standard.

WHAT MATERIALS DO YOU USE TO COLOR YOUR GARMENTS?
Where we use color, we only use natural dyes, and these been created from food waste and natural resources. Plants, fruits and vegetables help to achieve richly hued tones which work well together – from indigo blue to onion skins for neutrals. We use a water recycling system to dye textiles in a way that we use the same water over and over again. Our dyes are non-toxic and biodegradable, all our garment logos and prints are created with soy or algae-based PVC-free ink. We always respect the Restrictive Substance List.

WILL WASHING MY GARMENT WASH AWAY ITS NATURAL COLOR?
No, you can of course wash your naturally dyed item and it will retain its color after washing. Be aware, however, that while we always choose the most lightfast and stable colors, they do fade faster than the chemical alternative. We have found that the naturally aged, lived in appearance is popular with the collective and we hope you agree.

WHAT IS YOUR PACKAGING MADE FROM?
We use PLA for all our packaging.

PLA is a naturally-occurring and biodegradable biopolymer. A plastic alternative which fully disappears within 24 weeks in your compost bin. It’s designed to offer a breakthrough ecological alternative to avoid the billion tons of surplus non-recyclable plastic consumed globally.

 
IS YOUR PACKAGING ECO-FRIENDLY?
Our packaging is designed to be put into your home compost or industrial compost systems along food waste, offering a zero-waste solution that returns to nature after usage. Many countries around the world now provide industrial food waste compost collection but however you dispose of it, Our packaging is a better ecological alternative to conventional plastic. It’s not the final solution, but this is best practice right now.

 
WILL IT DECOMPOSE FASTER THAN PLASTIC?
Yes! Due to its bio-based technology it will decompose much faster than standard plastic, which takes centuries to decompose.

 
DO I PUT IT IN MY REGULAR WASTE BIN OR RECYCLING?
The best place is a food waste recycling bin if you have one. In any case you can compost it in your garden compost bin or you can add it to your food waste recycling collection if you have that service.
Failing that put it in your regular bin and it will decompose in landfill.
